The Shape of a Packing Day
Loaded up from minute one, the crew works the place a room at a stretch, beginning where nobody ever looks and saving the kitchen until last. Anything delicate draws a wrap of its own before a box ever meets it. The moment a box is taped shut, the crew notes its room and adds it to the running tally, so what would otherwise be a blind dig through nameless boxes turns into a quick, sorted unpack. The bottom of every box takes a second strip of tape, since around here a carton can pitch down a pre-war stairwell, drop from the tailgate while the truck sits double-parked on a one-way block, or weather a cloudburst before it reaches the next place.
What Stays Behind
A short list never rides the truck: anything perishable, live rounds, hazardous materials, and open containers of liquid, because carriers reject them no matter how well you’ve sealed the top. Should you want it, we’ll unpack at the far end, but only by request. As for the guarantee, it covers the boxes our own crew sealed; cartons you assembled and taped yourself fall outside it.

What it runs tracks the supplies and the labor each apartment calls for, and the charge rides above the moving cost itself. Broadly, the flat bands reach from $550 for a studio to $3,900 on a three-bed; packing carries a figure of its own, locked once we’ve gauged the volume of china and stemware that needs protecting.
